This medium stoneware jug is a beautiful and practical addition to your kitchen. It is ideal for cream, gravy, sauces or even a small bunch of flowers. It pours cleanly and feels balanced in the hand, with a smooth rim and a comfortable handle with a thumb-rest.
This jug is wheel thrown in my Yorkshire studio and finished in my signature Stormy Blue glaze. The colours shift from deep blue to warm brown, and no two pieces are ever the same. That is the joy of small batch stoneware, each one has its own character.
When this one came out of the kiln, I handed it to my 14‑year‑old son. His verdict: “Well, the proof is in the pouring.” He tried it, nodded, and said, “That’s decent, mum.” You can see exactly what he meant in the video.
